how to get a job as a computer programmer

Question:

I am a Sun Certified Java Computer Programmer and I have a masters degree in Computer Programming.

How do I get a computer programming job without any hands-on programming experience.

Answer:

Hands-On Computer Programming skills is an absolute requirement for today's competitive programming job market.

Hiring Managers or Employers are much more interested in your hands-on computer programming experience than in your Computer Programming Certifications or your Educational Degrees.

One of the ways you can get Hands-On Experience is by having a more senior computer programmer mentor you. This is helpful because you get critical code review and feedback that you won't get just by reading a book or passing an examination.

Hands-On Experience is even more important than Programming Certifications because employers understand or know that while Programming Certifications can be faked or gamed ... you cannot game hands-on software development experience.

That is why Computer Programming Job Interviews tend to be about you demonstrating code samples or exhibiting your software development projects or talking about your specific computer programming projects.
