Transitioning from Accounting or Finance Background to Software Development Careers

Question:

I graduated with a BS in Accounting and Master's in Finance.

However, I have discovered that the finance/accounting field is way too political and I want to get out of it ( Finance and Accounting) right now.

My question is if it's possibe for someone with a finance or accounting degree, work experience and background but with no programming degree, experience or experience to land at least an entry level software developer job?

Thank you.

Answer:

Yes, there is plenty of opportunity in the Software Development Industry right now.

The USA and other developed countries are constantly wooing skilled labor from all over the world for a few specialized, high demand careers, software development being one of them.

Yes, there are plenty of opportunities and room in entry level computer programming careers for someone of your background or skill sets.

Here are a couple of articles that explain how to become a computer programmer.

The first is this article titled: The Secret Path to Contract Programming Riches:

The second is this article titled: How To Become A Computer Programmer In Months or In Less Time Than Most People Think Is Possible
